Evan discovered the potatoes in the pantry looked a bit like his Mr. Potato Head.  He found this VERY funny.

Getting it done!

Okay I complained about a number of things I wanted to start "projects" on.  Here is the pics from the cornice boards I wanted for my bathroom.  Check, hubby made them and I covered them.  I tried my idea for the bathroom hook...no bueno, not even going to post those pictures.  I have big plans for the boys bathroom.  Stay tuned.  Next on list-- Make an apron and matching dish towel.  I had bought this fabric a year ago and had not been motivated to do it until I saw pics on one of my fav blogs..."fly through our window".  Check....okay next on the to do list...must wait Christmas is here along with Evan's birthday.  He's almost 3!  Oh dear.......

Elmo cake

Wanted to share the how to of the Elmo Birthday Cake I made for Evan's 1st birthday.
8in Cake round and 3 cupcakes, the rest of the cupcakes can be used for individual lil' Elmos for the other kids. 

Eyes - make 1/2 incision at bottom of eye and gradually come up so the cupcake will sit at an angle.
Nose - do the same but level and cut cupcake in a teardrop. 

Ice up it using cake tips...much patience.

AHH!

So I am inspired...many things of late. My mind is spinning with everything I want to do...to everything. A glimpse:  the bathroom towel rack is ugly, my entry way- I moved everything into another room to redecorate it, the carpet needs shampooing with the baby starting to crawl, make a cool lunch so Evan will eat it.  I also have an itch to sew but not sure yet, think it might be an apron??? 

Towel rack down = need to plaster and paint, didn't see that one coming!

Daddy is doing turkey sandwich with a STAR cookie cutter...
Think the apron would be cool with a matching dish towel - saw a cool one on a blog today. 
The entry way....will have to wait.  I desparately need a bath.

Evan...

The cutest toddler in the world! At dinner tonight, Eric and I were talking and Evan was doing his usual standing dance in the booth. Suddenly he froze, we looked at him and he had torn into an Equal packet with his mouth. The face, priceless.

Got to get used to it!

Man, remembering to do this in addition to the million other things....
Well for those of you that don't know, we are expecting our second child in the spring! Fun crazy times for the Kelley's. Recently I felt like I am getting the spring back in my step, thank goodness. Feeling tired with a toddler in the house doesn't work out so much. Next month we find out if baby is a boy or girl...that will make the name game a little more fun.

Evan is a chatter box, some real and some made up and some mixed together. It's been fun. He wants to tell you what everything is. Doesn't he already know we are impressed with him?

So it took two weeks but our child likes going to school/daycare. Today was the second day Evan was to busy dancing to kiss Daddy goodbye. Now when I pick him up he is opening the door before I have all our stuff! This last weekend Evan had a language break out...he mimics EVERYTHING we say and then some. My current fav is "nennis shew", LOVE IT.
